I suffered your face
It took the spaces of my heart
I took a chance in your romance
It fell apart
(I’m hypnotized)

Enduring life’s tumultuous periods mark us deeply; the triumph of survival signifies a profound internal rebirth and transformation. The person in the mirror may seem altered, evolved from naïveté to resilience through the crucible of adversity, leading to a complex mix of loss and empowerment. This reflection involves reconciling the past and present selves, mourning who we were – and celebrating who we’ve become. It’s in this nuanced space that we recognize our most significant achievements stem from internal growth, reshaping our self-perception and life narrative. The proverbial ‘dark night of the soul’ leads us down the path to enlightenment and finding our self-worth.

Hotter than Georgia asphalt: enigmatic dark synth-pop act Teardux is keeping their momentum forward while reclaiming the past with the debut of their electrifying new dancefloor banger, REINS.

The duo, featuring Valerie Andra’s haunting vocals and Dylan Anderson’s masterful synthesis of beats and melodies, ignites the night with their captivating blend of sound.

Andra’s ethereal voice cuts through the darkness, guiding listeners like a beacon, while Anderson’s mastery over the synths weaves a tapestry that is as electrifying as it is eerie. Their unique take on darkwave is reminiscent of iconic acts like Pet Shop Boys, Xymox, and Leathers, but with a distinct dance music edge that sets them apart in the underground music scene.

“REINS is a continuation of our last single MEND conceptually,” says the band. “While MEND was written about a destructive and unrequited relationship, REINS is the aftermath of said relationship. It’s about the bittersweet victory of finding your way out of such a draining endeavor and having a bit of a reflection on it. Where you almost don’t even recognize the person you were while under the cancerous spell.”
